Introducing Ask Basis: chat over your notes.
Your research already knows the answer. It's just spread across three years of notes, a hundred transcripts, and the names you track. Ask Basis is an agent that reads all of it and answers in plain language, with citations back to your own work.
Why we built it
Search finds documents. Research questions need synthesis across documents. The moment that motivated Ask Basis was a simple question ("what did management say about capacity last quarter, and did we believe them?") and the realization that no tool could answer it, because the transcript lived in one app and the skepticism lived in another.
How it works
Under the hood, Ask Basis fuses keyword and semantic retrieval over your notes, earnings-call transcripts, filings, and uploaded documents, then reads the best passages and answers with inline citations. Every claim links back to the note or call it came from, so you can check its work in one click.
What you can ask
- "What's my current thesis on COHR, and what evidence backs it?"
- "Summarize what management said about HBM supply across the last two MU calls."
- "Which of my notes mention pricing pressure in security software?"
What's next
Where this goes: proactive answers that arrive in your inbox before you ask, follow-up questions that refine what the agent retrieves, and answers that cite the knowledge graph (the entities and relationships extracted from your research) alongside the raw text.
